Tour Details

Get ready for an exciting adventure! We'll meet up at Santiago de Compostela's Capilla del Pilar at the designated time. Once everyone is gathered, we'll hop on a bus and kickstart our Rías Baixas excursion.

First, we'll head to Cambados. Did you know it's considered the capital of Albariño wine? Upon arrival, we'll take a guided tour of the Fefiñáns historic center, an area home to the highest concentration of wineries in Galicia.

Afterward, we'll continue exploring the surroundings of Cambados to discover the "Kilometer 0" of Albariño production. We'll visit either the Adega Eidos winery or Lagar da Cachada, where we'll enjoy a 1-hour guided tour of the vineyards and facilities. You'll learn all about the winemaking process for this prized drink. Of course, we'll top it off with a wine tasting.

Next, we'll head to La Lanzada, the westernmost point of the Salnés peninsula. Here, we'll take in the remnants of a 10th-century castle, a lookout for the feared Viking invaders. We'll also pay a visit to the chapel of Nuestra Señora de la Lanzada, one of Galicia's most renowned chapels.

From La Lanzada, we'll cruise over to the island of La Toja, famed for its thermal traditions. You'll uncover the secrets of its therapeutic waters and admire the chapel of the shells, its façade entirely adorned with scallop shells.

At a charming pier in La Toja, we'll board a boat to explore the famous bateas – platforms used for breeding oysters, scallops, and mussels. To cap off the boat trip, you'll savor a tasting of mussels accompanied by local fruity wine.

Next, we'll return to the dry land and travel by road to Combarro to stroll through its beautiful old town full of hórreos, the typical construction of Galicia and Asturias. Did you know that this town is the origin of the Galician octopus dish? We'll also leave you with some free time to satisfy your appetite in a local restaurant.

Finally, we'll conclude our tour by returning to Santiago de Compostela after a 10-hour adventure.

During the booking process, you'll be able to select the option that does not include the boat trip with mussel tasting in La Toja if you wish. If you choose this option, you will have free time to stroll around and grab a bite in the area instead.
